With more than 1,500 opals set over his career, Pete has extensive hands-on experience working with a gemstone that demands patience and precision. Alongside Australian opals, he also cuts and polishes a growing range of gemstones
in-house, bringing lapidary work and silversmithing together under one roof.
COMMISSIONS BEYOND THE ORDINARY
Bespoke work is not limited to pendants. Commissions can include rings, memorial jewellery incorporating ashes, money clips and other individually designed pieces, created around the customer’s ideas, chosen gemstone and intended meaning.
FROM LOOSE STONE TO FINISHED PIECE
Selected gemstones are cut, shaped and polished in-house before being offered for bespoke commission work. Once a stone is chosen, the finished piece is designed in collaboration with the customer, taking into account their ideas and preferences while allowing the gemstone’s individual shape, colour and character to guide the design.

Gem cutting and jewellery setting are regularly carried out live on TikTok, giving followers a closer look at the process behind each piece. Customers can also request to be notified when work on their own commission is due to be shown live, giving them the option to follow part of its creation in real time.
